Academics

The group of individuals contributing to CICADA’s objectives through academic endeavors is comprised of a multitude of scholars from numerous universities, institutions, disciplines, and backgrounds. CICADA co-investigators, collaborators, postdoctoral fellows and students, whose work is in alignment with the centre’s aspirations and Indigenous communities’ visions, are collaborating with Indigenous communities in various ways to address pressing issues. Academic partners’ research projects are assisting in exciting community projects, presenting novel approaches to research, studying community adaptation, expressing traditional knowledge through new mediums, and investigating the impacts of the industries that impede community wellness and autonomy.
