Developing Community-Based Mapping Capacity among INSTEAD Partner Communities

This project consists of two undertakings. First, skills exchange between, and training of, community-based researchers from the indigenous partner communities of INSTEAD will be facilitated by the Geomedia Lab of Concordia University’s Department of Geography, Planning and Environment and by the Quebec Centre for Biodiversity Sciences. Second, INSTEAD researchers who focus on mapping and landscape modelling will provide on-site support and liaison with researchers engaged in other relevant axis themes to enhance local command of information about indigenous territories.
